Old Project
The Challenge
Following a season of intense, straight-line winds, the homeowner requested a routine inspection. From the yard, the relatively new roof looked absolutely perfect. However, our up-close inspection revealed a hidden danger: the intense wind had caused severe ‘uplift’ on the entire weather-facing side of the house, snapping the adhesive seals on hundreds of shingles. The homeowner asked if we could just re-glue them, but we had to honestly advise that the structural integrity of that entire side was compromised. Leaving it alone would guarantee massive leaks during the next storm.
Visual Transformation
Our Solution
We helped the homeowner avoid future interior water damage by proactively replacing the compromised elevations. We stripped the wind-damaged side down to the bare wood, leaving the unaffected sides of the house completely intact to save the customer money. We upgraded that specific slope with a high-performance synthetic underlayment and GAF shingles rated for extreme wind resistance, ensuring this specific side of the house won’t peel back during the next major Texas blow-through.
Decking Repair
Replaced 4 sheets of water-damaged OSB to ensure a solid foundation.
Total Tear-Off
Stripped 2 layers of old shingles down to the plywood decking.
"The crew was professional, punctual, and kept the job site incredibly clean. Our house looks like a brand-new home, and we feel much better knowing we are protected before the next storm season hits. Highly recommend!"
